  • Welcome to the Atacama Desert.

Atacama Desert Program with Hotteo Travel: Key tips to enjoy it to the fullest. Are you ready to explore the driest desert in the world? Welcome to the Atacama Desert. At Hotteo Travel we have designed the Atacama Desert Program so that you can discover the essence of this place in all its splendor. From the supernatural landscapes to the charms of San Pedro de Atacama, here we share some essential tips so that you can enjoy every moment of this adventure with us to the fullest. 1. Prepare for altitudes and extreme climates The Atacama Desert offers an unparalleled experience, but its extreme temperatures and altitude require special preparation. At places like the Tatio Geysers, where we arrived before dawn to capture the magic of the steam columns against the cold, temperatures can be below freezing. During the day, the heat is intense, and at night the cold returns. Wear layers , including a thermal jacket, hat and gloves for early mornings and a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for the bright hours. 2. The beauty of the starry skies of Atacama The sky of the Atacama Desert is famous for its clarity and is one of the most privileged places in the world for stargazing. In our Atacama Desert Program , we include a night of astronomical observation, where you can contemplate galaxies, constellations and planets in a way that only the Atacama allows. Don't forget to bring a camera with a tripod and, if you can, a red light flashlight so as not to interrupt the magic of the night sky. It will be an unforgettable memory! 3. Explore the charm of San Pedro de Atacama San Pedro is the vibrant and picturesque center of this trip, with its adobe architecture and dirt streets that transport you back in time. This small town is a great place to rest after each excursion, and Hotteo Travel ensures you accommodation with all the comfort and local charm. Don't miss the main square , where you can taste local flavors, buy handicrafts and admire the San Pedro church, built in the 18th century. We recommend trying typical dishes such as sopaipilla, empanadas de pino and the delicious quinoa, grown in this region. 4. Constant hydration: Essential! The Atacama Desert can have extremely low air humidity, and the combination with the altitude requires you to stay hydrated at all times. Hotteo Travel provides water during the tour, but it is recommended that you always carry your personal bottle and drink water frequently, even if you are not thirsty. This will also help you adapt better to the altitude and enjoy each experience without any inconvenience. 5. Camera in hand: The Desert is an otherworldly setting The Atacama has such a unique diversity of landscapes that it is difficult to describe with words. From the reddish tones and rock formations of the Valley of the Moon to the surreal landscape of the Lagunas Altiplánicas (with its intensely colored waters and flamingos that contrast with the snow-capped mountains), every corner of the desert is a postcard in itself. Always carry your camera charged and ready to capture these unique moments, and if you have a drone, you can capture spectacular views of the salt flats and volcanoes. 6. Dare to experience a sunset in Death Valley One of the most anticipated moments of our Atacama Desert Program is watching the sunset in Death Valley . The red rock formations and hills turn orange and pink when the sun begins to set, creating a natural spectacle that will leave you speechless. To enjoy it to the fullest, wear comfortable walking shoes, as the terrain can be uneven. Also, remember your camera to immortalize that moment! Hotteo Travel's Atacama Desert Program is much more than a tour, it is an immersion in a place of beauty and mystery that will remain etched in your memory forever. With our team of expert guides and an itinerary designed to make the most of every moment, this trip will be a unique experience, full of adventures and unforgettable moments. Ready to start the adventure? Book your Atacama Desert Experience with Hotteo Travel and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the desert. We are ready to show you the greatness of the Atacama like never before!

Discovering, designing and offering unique experiences to our clients is our reason for being. In Chile we have done it again with the Casa Río Experience lodge, from where you can enjoy 4 volcanoes in 7 days of adventure through the Andean Araucanía and be amazed by the wonders offered by the Lonquimay, Sierra Nevada, Tolhuaca and Llaima Volcanoes. Below, we present the program for the 7 days, 6 nights that we have prepared with the details of activities day by day. • The real end of the world

Why should you travel to Navario Island and discover the true end of the world? There is a place where very few have arrived, of unique and pristine beauty. A territory crossed by pioneers and adventurers in search of new routes, where the human footprint often sets foot for the first time. Beyond Cape Froward, where the continental shelf ends, the surface breaks up into islands and channels. It is time to fly over the Strait of Magellan to enter the inhospitable and extensive island of Tierra del Fuego, on the way to our final destination. From the small window of the plane you can see endless expanses of land and mountains, small lakes between snow-capped peaks. In less than an hour Isla Navarino welcomes us and its imposing teeth. Time has stopped. Further south of the antagonistic Ushuaia, the city of Puerto Williams, the penultimate bastion inhabited by Chileans, fades at the foot of Cerro Bandera in front of the Beagle Channel. Quiet and in constant movement, it does not leave you indifferent. We tasted the southernmost beer, enjoyed the crab and sat down to read in the port cafe. You feel special. The journey to the true end of the world has just begun.

  • Estancias of Chile

One of the places that we recommend and that is unique in Chile are its Estancias. In the extreme south of the country, in the region of Magallanes and the Chilean Antarctic, and close to the impressive Torres del Paine and Sierra Baguales National Park, are the Estancias of Chile. Unique and fascinating places that represent the essence of a not easy life where ranchers have been working their lands with their livestock since the 19th century and which are now open to tourism. Estancias where you can carry out unique activities such as puma and bird watching, photography tours, fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding and kayaking, while staying in unique spaces such as the southernmost glamping site or a master's house, without forgetting its traditional gastronomy. We assure you that you will live fascinating experiences in Chilean Patagonia. Enjoy the video and think about your next trip to southern Chile. Do you want to know our program proposal?

  • Puro Chile Program

If this is going to be your first time in Chile, we recommend our Puro Chile program. Together we will adapt it to your times, your needs and of course your budget. We take care of everything so that you only have to enjoy a fascinating country that you did not expect. We leave you the video of the program so you can start to get an idea of everything that awaits you.

  • Strait of Magellan

There are corners on this planet reserved for restless souls, pristine landscapes of unique beauty that were inhabited by ancient cultures and repopulated by adventurers. One of them, Hernando de Magellan, made a trip almost 500 years ago and gave his name to a strip of land where the 21st century traveler returns to rediscover it and be part of history. It's time to take a unique tour. Welcome to the Strait. The Strait of Magellan is the perfect host that justifies a trip to one of the most beautiful corners of the Planet. A territory full of open secrets that the locals are responsible for spreading, showing and taking care of. A destination that proposes a route based on three main proposals: a cultural circuit, a nature circuit and a leisure circuit. If Magellan negotiated the deep waters and strong currents of the Atlantic to reach our destination, the traveler today can access it by direct flight from Santiago on a journey of less than 4 hours flying over glaciers and lakes until reaching the modern city of Punta Arenas. . The gateway to Patagonia is today the expression of the fusion of multiple cultures from all corners of the world. Beautiful buildings symbol of the prosperity of commerce, large avenues, a renovated boardwalk and small businesses make the city the traveler's resting place. The first proposed circuit is the cultural one . Punta Arenas and its surroundings have more than 12 museums, among which the Braun Menéndez Regional Museum, the Salesiano Maggiorino Borgatello Regional Museum, the Naval and Maritime Museum and the Sara Braun Palace stand out, among others. The Punta Arenas cemetery, listed as one of the most beautiful on the continent, is an example of the best architecture applied to this environment and a reflection of multiculturalism. The Estrecho Park, less than an hour from Punta Arenas, with Fort Bulnes as the main protagonist, is a must-see on the trip. The nature circuit is an ambitious proposal that requires careful organization of the days and identification of priorities: whales, penguins, national parks and unique reserves. Kayaking activities, hiking, bird watching, magnifying glass tourism and research and photography tours. The strait offers an incomparable and unique setting to live a very special experience. Finally, and the one that maintains the balance with the previous ones, is the leisure circuit that offers a trip to gastronomy, sports, shopping, relaxation and relaxation so necessary to close the circle of the perfect experience. And for rest, the La Yegua Loca Boutique Hotel in Punta Arenas and Weskar Patagonian Lodge in Puerto Natales. Tips to enjoy the Strait of Magellan: Travel from November to April, preferably Bring light clothing to dress in layers Comfortable shoes Visit the lighthouses of the Strait of Magellan Schedule a whale and/or penguin excursion Book a lunch or dinner at the Yegua Loca restaurant Do you want to enjoy a unique experience? We present our Strait of Magellan program.
